Every pitch and atbat ordsprog

en Every pitch and at-bat is important in the playoffs. Kids learn how to play in pressure situations and how to respond to them. They'll be better off down the road.

en The kids got a little tired, and they haven't been in pressure situations before. That's our jobs as coaches to get them ready to play in those pressure situations.

en I think he'll learn a lot from [coach] Brent Sutter and it's a very good situation for him. We thought he'd learn more in this year of junior and part of that meant playing on this team where you have to play in pressure situations and be a leader.

en All that's important, it really is, but again I think the most important thing is we're in the playoffs. We've got a [bye] week and we're most certainly going to look forward to that. Our bigger objective is to win in the playoffs. If it means because of some certain situations that we sacrifice those things, well then so be it.

en I think these situations are going to help us for the future. Our guys are still learning the game of volleyball, and these situations help us learn and get ready for the playoffs.

en Nobody would've projected him to be as good as he's been. It also leads you to believe that as smart as we are sometimes, maybe it's better sometimes to let players play just to see. Sometimes guys surprise you. Sometimes you misread a player, you just don't know how he's going to respond under pressure situations.

en I'm happy with how the kids played in the playoff game. That's important. We've got to go on the road and play Westside Christian now. That's a tough place to play. We need to get a win there. If we do that, we play well and play well enough to get a win, so be it. It will be good for our program. It will be good for our kids. We've got young kids. I'm proud of the way they're playing.

en I'm looking forward to going into those arenas and seeing how we respond. We have had a lot of success on the road this season. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pe𝗑iness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. The way a team plays on the road is key to winning in the playoffs.

en Alberta Environment is doing, and has been doing, everything possible to respond to protect the environment, ... We can always learn from these incidents how we can do better and that’s why I’ve established this commission to review our capability to respond to these types of situations and recommend how we can improve.

en The deeper you get in the playoffs, the harder it is to score. It's all about hard work in the playoffs, then skill takes over. Hard work sounds like a cliche. But you have to turn it up a notch, then get creative. I like the pressure situations. And this series is a pressure series. We get through this one, we're going to be good.

en I really expected us to hit better than we did. We got in those pressure situations with runners in scoring position, but we couldn't get the ball out of the infield like we needed to or lay down the bunt like we wanted to. Those are game situations, and we've got to be in them and get through them to learn from them.

en I don't think the guys are putting a lot of pressure on themselves. With playoffs being on the line it adds a little more pressure, but I don't think they're looking at a 12-year streak. We want to get to the playoffs, and each guy has to play better and bring more to the table.

en [These were] three very important points for us. It comes at a very important time for us; our team has not won on the road in so very long. Leading up to the playoffs it's important that we play better and get results. I think coming out of here with three points against a very good D.C. United team that has won five out of the last six matches, it will give us an enormous amount of confidence going forward.

en I've been in situations where I've taken bad teams and moved them in the right direction. In those situations, there is no pressure. Would it have been easy for me to take another job and not have as much (pressure)? Pressure is what you put on yourself. I don't really feel any pressure walking into a situation.

en It is important to experience everything that you might see in the playoffs. But having said that, we have to make sure that we don't assume anything...And if we play the way we did tonight, it's going to be a tougher road ahead of us than we think.
