Quite honestly, I'm not concerned about that. I'm more worried about making sure that this team understands what's a good shot, what's a bad shot, going into the season.

I honestly hit a good shot there. I caught a bad break on a difficult little hole. The guy in front of me hit the exact same shot and was fine. It's too bad. I really wanted this one. I clawed my way back, but came up just short.

It was a good win to get. It was just a battle the whole way. Nobody could hit a shot. Either team. It was just a struggle. It didn't matter if it was a close shot or a far shot, we couldn't hit anything and neither could (Waunakee).

He was magnificent down the stretch, making big shot after big shot. He criticized himself and really took it out on the team. From a coaching standpoint, you can't ask for anything more.

That was a really big shot for us. That's kind of what I mean when I talk about players making plays. I don't mean the last-second shot, and I'm not talking about the final play. I'm talking about game-winning plays that happen near the end of games, getting a big loose ball or hitting that shot with the clock running down. Those are all things that this team can't take for granted.

The thing that was most impressive to me is we didn't foul on the last shot. And I've seen teams lose games because they're undisciplined and they foul. He took a tough shot. I thought he traveled before he shot. Our team did the five-switch defense on their own, which was good for them to be able to do, considering up until that point we hadn't really made too many good decisions. Both teams know each other pretty well. You should have guessed it would come down to the team making the last shot to win it. We were fortunate to get an open look at a 3 late in the game and it was nice to see us capitalize on the shot.

I thought Carrie Mason was the best I've ever seen her. Obviously, she missed just one shot. Her shot selection was tremendous. She hit big shots when she need to. She hit all of her free throws. She ran the team and she did a great job. Virginia Tech did a good job of making the extra pass which is shown by the 18 assists. That's what you've got to do against a defense that's going to come at you. That's to penetrate and then find the next one. They did a tremendous job of that.

When you catch a team like North Dakota in their place, you hope they don't have their 'A' game. They shot 50 percent from the field, which is excellent. And they shot 32 percent from 3-point range, which is adequate. Of course, they shot 31 3s, so that's great. And they did a good job on the boards.

That's the kind of shot we want him to take. He makes that shot all the time in practice, so why not shoot it in the game? When he took the shot I was fairly confident the shot was going in. Any shot he takes I'll run with.

Honestly, I just couldn't get anything going the last two games. I just wanted to be patient and let the game come to me, and it came to me. If I had to take every shot tonight, well, I would've taken every shot.

I've been playing pretty good. I just haven't been making any putts. ... I'm very pleased. That's the second time I've shot that score on this course. It's probably been about 10 years since I've shot it, but I remember doing it.

Hey, guys, you know, you can root if you want for the American team, I think that's fine, I have no issue with that. But when the International Team hits a good shot and makes a good shot, I think they deserve to have applause and appreciation.

My shot was way off in the middle of the season, but in the last few games, I feel like I've been coming on offensively. I'm getting my shot back and feeling really good.

To start this tournament over again, I may not be sitting up here. It is a one-shot game, one-shot deal. Sometimes the best teams don't always advance on in the NCAA Tournament. This team, starting the season, I felt had all the team makeup (to go far). They were unselfish and they wanted to win.
