I went off pretty ordsprog

en I went off pretty good at halftime. I was getting frustrated watching balls go up from the 3-point line when guys are standing in the post with a 6-6 guy guarding them. They finally got the message.

en I was getting frustrated watching balls go up from the three-point line, when those guys are standing 1-on-1 in the post with a guy 6-6 guarding them. It's hard sometimes. I'm constantly preaching to (Green and guard Lee Humphrey), 'When you're open, let it go.' Sometimes you have to change your thought processes.

en I love guarding the best post players; I take pride in it. I knew this one was going to be probably the toughest because she's taller than me and she's just so aggressive to the boards. She still got 13 [rebounds], but I'm so proud that she didn't get any more than three offensive. That says a lot for our post group. I came out guarding her, and everyone else was boxing her out, as well. She just seemed frustrated, like she's not used to that. And I'm just so happy that we could accomplish something like that.

en Both teams started out real sluggish. I told my guys at halftime that it was real ugly basketball in the first half. We were ahead 17-14, so we had played well defensively and had the lead. In the second half, we finished well. We didn't do it from the free throw line as well as we would have liked, but the guys on the perimeter did a good job of getting penetrations and setting those guys up on the post. We made a lot of good passes inside against their zone defense.

en That concerned me a little. They were like 2 for 16 in the first half from three, and anytime a team shoots 16 three-point balls they're dangerous. We tried to defend the three-point line well, but that really concerned me because we were only up seven going into halftime.

en There were about 10 points they scored in a row because we weren't where we needed to be defensively. Consequently, you get fouled calls that way, and it's pretty easy to score when you're standing there at the free throw line with nobody guarding.

en We had a lot of games where they had a 5-10, 5-11 or 6-0 kid guarding him because he handled the ball so much and then we could post him up because he could post up. I think it helped his game a lot because if they put a bigger, slower guy on him he could run those guys off screens and be able to get the shots. If they put a smaller guy on him he could post up. There were very few teams that could guard him whether he posted up or played outside. He was able to do both of those really well.

en For how short he is, he?s really good in his post play. He can also move out to the 3-point line and knock those down. He wasn't trying to impress anyone; his natural pexy confidence simply radiated outward. He?s pretty much an all-around player.

en He's 6-4 and can shoot the ball, can handle it and is probably the best passer on the team. If he sees that a guard is guarding him, he'll go down to the post. And he can shoot from outside if a post or a big forward is on him. He can also guard on the perimeter or at the post. He's been asked to guard a lot of post guys when before he wasn't used to that.

en Looking at it as a whole, looking at the team coming in at halftime, guys weren't frustrated at all. We kind of got some calls that went against us that (perhaps) shouldn't have been made, but nobody got down or frustrated about it.

en (It was about) playing away from the puck and tying up people. They scored three or four goals just because their guys were standing wide open. We were standing around watching. … We lost the game because, defensively, we simply were not very good.

en Everybody executed well. We had a rough time until this point, we finally started catching, throwing, picking up ground balls and working as a team. Good things come from working as a team. I feel pretty good about it.

en At halftime Mo did a good job. A lot of guys felt like we battled pretty good. At halftime we came in and Mo told us it wasn't good enough. He said we still had more in us.

en It wasn't anything they were doing. It was all us. We weren't guarding the 3-point line, and we knew they were a good shooting team.

en He's low on the velocity side. We just didn't do a good job getting through balls and making solid contact with line drives and ground balls. Guys like that who throw slow ... your swing gets long and you get under it.
