Thomas played big for them. His 3-pointer was big. He made plays inside and out for them.

Muhsin played well and made some plays, ... I thought the other receivers played well and (running back Thomas) Jones played really well. Muhsin is a veteran guy who has been there and played in big games before.

We don't have any inside post presence. However you want to look at it, he's a beast in there, so we are going to miss that inside threat. But with Kurt (Thomas) and Brian (Grant), we do have some inside bangers.

Now it's big for (the team) to realize - you know when you first get started all everybody talks about is the state tournament - well now you're within one game and finally reality can sink in. Steve played fired-up tonight. He was taking hits and still finishing plays inside. When he can score inside it opens up things for our shooters.

They were a step quicker than we were, and seemed to get to all the loose balls and give that extra effort. Ashley Jones was phenomenal tonight, especially in the first half. Every time we started to get away from them, she would get a 3-pointer or a steal or an offensive rebound. She stepped up and made plays, the same way Kirby Marsh used to do for them last year.

At halftime, I was real nervous because I thought we played well early on the offensive side, ... Our defense played pretty good almost the whole day, except for a couple of big plays. But, we couldn't put anything away. Then, we had the blocked field goal again; it was a poor snap and a low kick. We are not making plays when we have to. And that is basically what the whole game boils down to. We had the opportunity to make plays and nobody stepped up and made them.

They made some plays. We put some balls in play hard and they made some plays. We're not making excuses. They played better than we did today. They deserved to win the ball game.

As you could see, our kids played hard. Every second is important. Our defense kept coming after them. Our offense made some big plays and they stepped up and made those big plays.

It was a very hard fought victory. Dee was fantastic and made the big plays when we needed them and Natalie King played an excellent game. Natalie has given us another force inside and lately has been our most consistent player in the paint.
