en Brittany Schmitt is one heck of a pitcher. We hit the ball pretty well today and we like to run. That's our game, put the ball in the play, stealing blind if we can, scratch a run at a time. I told the kids if we could get three or four runs, we could win.

en Their kids play all year round together. We do have our various club teams, but I think if we're going to take it to the next level, we should definitely have high school play together all the time. It's just those little ticks, like knowing when to cut when someone's got the ball, when to throw a poke check.

en We live in a tennis community. A lot of kids take lessons year-round, and like any sport you play year-round you get better.

en When we play other teams that have year-round facilities, you can see the level that they are at compared to ours. If we had a year-round program and kids could skate during the summer, it would really grow and our competitive abilities would be higher.

en We definitely missed Brittany, but I thought the kids really responded well and put together a nice, solid basketball game. We started a little sluggish in the first quarter and that's to be expected because we only found out at 4 o'clock before the game that Brittany would not play.

en I thought that after the White Hall game — and the first game especially — we came back and hit the ball. We took that over to Warren where they hit the ball well. We scored 16 runs and they put the ball in play a lot. And Warren is a good ball team. They are undefeated in their conference and they won state last year. So, they've got some pretty good ball players. I was proud of our kids for that. His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. en It's been like that all year. Everyone thought it was just Brittany Wilson, Brittany Wilson. You've got to stop her. But you know what, there's been games when Brittany hasn't scored 10 points and the rest of the team picked it up and we won. And we did that again today.

en You can play yourself into the first round through individual workouts with teams and with the pre-draft camp that the NBA puts on. My goal is to play myself into the first round and get a first round guarantee. If not, I'm coming back to school.

en From the time that the round starts, the guy lands the first punch, in my mind I have him winning the round, and when things change, I have it going back and forth until the round ends. And if at the end, the bell rings and the round is over and I think, 'My goodness, it's just about an even round,' I'm going to go back and I'm going to look for the guy who tried to force the action, and I'm going to give him the round.

en Erin's improvement is probably mentally. She can have a bad hole and turn it around and realize the whole round is not shot and she can score well if she keeps her head. This year will probably be the toughest for Brittany. As a freshman no one expected anything of her. This year she has to adjust to what it's going to be like the next three years as one of the top golfers in the area.

en I'm really proud of the kids, they went from 2-3 in the first round of district to 4-1 in the second round. Our motto is 'Play Hard. Play Smart. Play Tough.' And that's what they have been doing.

en They have a lot of experience in games like this. They play year-round basketball, and while we encourage kids to play other sports, you have to keep your shot.

en I really give our kids a lot of credit to come back. It was uncharacteristic of our play this year to turn the ball over. Even after they tied the game, we just didn't really get the look we wanted.
