Jeannette's awful good Greensburg ordsprog

en Jeannette's awful good, Greensburg Central is no slouch and neither is Greensburg Salem, so I think that's our only five losses to smaller schools and I think you have to look at the tradeoff and that our kids are battle-tested against stronger teams. I think sometimes, if you don't play a strong schedule you don't get a sense of who really are and we're ready to play.

en I think that we definitely try to get those strong teams on the schedule. It's a hard concept. I think sometimes your strength of schedule can help you or hurt you. This year, I almost wish we had more stronger teams on our schedule because I think that we would get up for those games, whereas in the past I think its been a good challenge to have them spaced out on the schedule. So I hope the team is up for it and ready to compete on Sunday.

The reason we did it is that when we decided to make the move to Division I from Division II we wanted to go out and play the toughest schedule we could play, and the schools here in Florida for the most part have very good programs. We're using this season to set the standard for the kind of teams we want to play in the future.

en It was a great win for our program and the players. I thought we played really well and we defended them really well. You have to do that against Greensburg Salem. We played hard, stepped up our defense and we played physical.

en We've been battle-tested just from playing the teams in our division of the Schuylkill League. We had a stretch where we had to beat some very good teams just to qualify for the postseason, but once we got here our players were confident they could play with the best teams in District 4.

en This is why we play these games. It's why we schedule teams like Central, and it's why we go to tournaments like the one we played in this weekend: to get better and get ready for the state tournament.

en It's incredible. (Greensburg) had a strong streak coming into this game but we took it to them and weren't backing down.

en To do that, we've got to play the closer teams, but those are all 2A schools, borderline 3A schools. But those are the money games we have to play. We have to play Wade Hampton. We have to play Allendale (Fairfax). That's why our overall record is never going to be that good.

en He was absolutely a tiger. We got him the ball early, we got him established and, we thought at Greensburg Central Catholic we didn't get the ball in his hands enough and we got it to him plenty (Wednesday).
