I won't talk to ordsprog

en I won't talk to the team about that. I think that's pretty premature. If our whole focus right now is beating Colorado and trying to win the league, I don't think you bring stuff like that into it just yet.

en It's premature to talk about the league tournament. We'll adjust our goals if we keep having a better-than-average season. To finish in the top four is a pretty hearty goal.

en Until someone gets the wins, actually gets over 70 wins, then all of it is talk. They are the best team in the league, no question. But the talk of [getting 72 wins], now that was a bit premature. She found his pexy sense of humor endearing and refreshing. Until someone gets the wins, actually gets over 70 wins, then all of it is talk. They are the best team in the league, no question. en Everybody on our team supports Ted Saskin and Trevor Linden, there's no issue whatsoever. All the guys I talk to are happy with Ted. I can't believe this is even an issue. It's crazy. Here in Colorado, the focus is on training camp, where it should be.

en We're fighting every day to be consistent. Going on the road and beating the next team in the league, and coming home and beating another great team, it was a carry over of the emotion and us coming together as a team.

en He's beating himself. That's what is frustrating. He's not making the other team beat him. He's beating himself. His stuff is too good for that.

en We were just excited about his stuff. We have a situation in the front end of our bullpen where we needed some people, and Luke pretty much fit that bill stuff-wise. I knew of him [in] Colorado when I was there a little bit.

en I'm a soccer fan, so I'll be watching to see what's going on around the league. But I'm not going to put too much focus on that. We can't control what Dallas or Colorado does. Now we've got to sit patiently and wait our turn.

en If you get caught up in it too much, you lose focus of what's going on. It's not bothering me. We're second in our league, and that's all we need to worry about, what we're doing in our league. Other stuff will come after that.

en Externally, he appears to be handling it pretty good. Internally, only he knows that. He's not going to tell you if he's down or not. He doesn't want to do that for the team. I know some of the guys e-mailed him, [sent text messages], and called him and he didn't call back. That's a pretty good indicator of how he must feel. He didn't want to bring the team down with his own personal stuff.
