en It's been such a competitive season. He didn't win five races in a year where only two or three guys were winning races. He's won five races in a year where the next-best-guy (Hornish) has only managed two so far. That's very impressive.

en She can run on the front or come from behind. She ran some tough races last year and she came back real good this year. There's a long year ahead, and she just did a super job.

en Last year, we came here with some disastrous performance, one of the worst races we had in the year. This year, there is good reason to believe we'll be happy people leaving this place.

en I went through a lot of turmoil this year and it couldn't been better than to end the year like this. I would have like to win the championship for J. D., but we did win eight races and had a good year so mission accomplished.

en [We've] finished a little better than we have in the past. Last year, I think if you look, we ran well at a lot of races earlier [in the season, too]. We just made some mistakes, some things were costly to us. We didn't win as early as we should have last year. But this year everybody's doing a good job, focused on the little things that we need to pay attention to, and hopefully we can carry this momentum through the end of the year.

en That's the way he approaches things, and that's why we were successful last year. He realizes that for us to go where we're trying to go ... he and his position are going to have to elevate their play. We snuck up on some folks a year ago, and that's not going to happen this year.

en Now that they have cancelled the last three races, I guess that is where we are ending up, ... Second in the points is good and I'm really happy to be Rookie of the Year. I would have liked to have seen what we could have done with more races. I don't think that the series ever got going the way that people would have liked.

en Most of our senior class has been playing since our sophomore year. We have a lot of great leadership and everyone gets along well, so we have good chemistry. Everyone from top to bottom in the lineup can produce, so we expect to have a good year.

en She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days. A lot of these tracks will be new for me. But I think it helps that I got in a couple of races last year. I know we have some good equipment, so I hope we can be in the hunt for Rookie or the Year.

en At this time of year, trainers with a good 3-year-old are looking forward to the first Saturday in May. I try to write as many races as I can for them to help them develop their horses.

en Last year we struggled through the first three races and then went to Atlanta and finished seventh. We have once again come out of the box slow, but we feel everything we learned last year will transfer, and we'll have a good run.

en I feel I established better credit to my name, being more consistent this year, running bigger races, and hopefully next year I can do the same thing, run quality races in fast times on fast tracks.

en In order to make that playoff in September, or even to make the top-10, you have to finish races. Last year we focused on being fast and racing hard to win races; this year we are going to take a more conventional approach and improve our package as a whole.

en We didn't have a good three-year-old pacer this year and Bob (McIntosh) had a bunch, so when he became available we jumped at the chance to get him. We paid a lot of money for him, so we have to get him into big races like this to make it back.
