It's a very well-made film and extremely well-acted, (and) it's one of the few movies out there that's worth talking about. The film's outrageous, obvious agenda was combined with real artistry.

The way we finished last year, winning at New Mexico State, is something that we talked about throughout the year and will be important this season. We have to learn to win on the road to become a winning program and to be able to compete for league championships. We will have a lot of opportunities to do that this season.

There is talent in Mexico. There are already 22 of us in the major leagues. This is definitely the message. We have talent. The proof of that is this evening.

But it's tied to extraordinarily warm temperatures in that part of Canada, not drought. That's like all the forested area of New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado combined.

Once we saw Norm and Zach's film, we knew that one of the most important films from and about Canada had crossed our paths. Although we still have significant work to see from major Canadian directors, the unique storytelling and aesthetics of this film as our Opening Night speaks both to our core charitable mission of fostering motion picture culture and to showcase the diversity of global filmmaking worldwide.

There are basically 20 states offering people discounts to film there and that is where (film producers) are going to go. Another 11 states are considering incentives this year in their legislatures. This is not something that is going to go away. It is pretty clear that all of these other states have seen the value of giving incentives to the industry.
