Iran needs to provide a political and business environment in which companies won't feel they're going to lose their shirt.

Given the current political situation, this business (Iran) will be less and less interesting for German companies in the medium and long term.

The purpose of these broadcasts is not to beam anti-government propaganda into Iran. Rather, this new service would provide more detailed, factual reporting on political, social and foreign policy issues affecting Iran.

Some German machinery firms are highly dependent on doing business with Iran, so sanctions would hit them very hard. We are expecting a steep decline in trade for this year already. Several companies are slowly pulling out because of the unstable situation in Iran. It's simply too risky for them.

It's a sad day when airline officials feel they can boot someone off an airplane because of a political message on a T-shirt.

When you're dealing with an outstanding customer ... you should make every effort to serve that customer, ... But when I hear they're talking to Kay Electric ... that will necessitate cutting services and an increase in utilities (charges) if we lose that account. I'm concerned that they feel there is some hesitation from the commission to provide the service they need for their operation. I just think for good business, we should be able to look at this and put together a resolution to finance our part of the business.

With the ongoing political tensions in Iran and with Nigerian militants threatening more attacks on oil companies, short covering should push prices higher next week. Speculators still hold a considerable amount of short positions. With the current news flow, those investors should feel increasingly uncomfortable with their positions.

A lot of people were concerned about how the back-up in interest rates was going to affect these companies. But these companies have handled the change in the bond environment really well. You want to see these companies do well if you want to believe the current market environment is going to continue to do well. These are leading indicator-type stocks.

You have to convince them because they are a creature of habit ? white shirt, blue shirt, black shirt. You don't have to be dark and boring, you can be fun?. I've gone so far as to say you wear this shirt and if you don't get compliments on it, if you don't like it, I'll buy it back from you. I've yet to do it.
