We were hoping that we could do it here because it would have provided a lot of good jobs. It's too bad and it's sad because we're trying to do something good for the county. Now we'll put in somewhere where somebody wants it.

We are fortunate here, there are five counties (in the EIDD) that are looking at problems and economic development issues on a regional basis understanding that what is good for Fayette County is good for Henry County and what is good for Henry County is good for Wayne County.

Certainly, although this is not good news for the central Aroostook County economy because the jobs at MBNA obviously were good jobs and very important to our overall employment picture, I'm not at all discouraged about the possibility of a different type of operation finding that facility suitable for call center usage if the intent of Bank of America is to dispose of the facilities.

People we talked to down there said jobs, jobs, jobs. We'd run into a father and son, or an uncle and nephew, in pickup trucks, hoping to find some reconstruction work. They're baffled that a month later, there are no real jobs.

Tim Carson understands that both Fayette and Westmoreland counties are in need of good-paying jobs that will keep our young people here. He knows that jobs and health care are not issues that end at the county line. We all share the burden of creating economic opportunity, and we need a leader like Tim, who understands this and who has the experience to fight for us.

It will create a lot of jobs, be good for economic development and will keep more retail dollars in Glynn County.

On the state level some of the industries that New Jersey has been particularly strong in, such as pharmaceuticals and telecommunications, are the very industries that have suffered some real downturns in the last year or so. It's costing jobs, and good jobs. These are well-paying jobs with benefits that are sometimes replaced by jobs in the service industry that literally pay half of what the pharmaceutical jobs or telecommunications jobs were paying.

We knew Chase County has some good athletes and we knew they were going to come after us. They started in a man-to-man and we were able to execute some pretty good offense. We did a lot of good things on defense. It's a pretty good win. In the second half, we got tentative and Chase County turned up the heat a little and made it a little more difficult for us to flow.

I think we are making progress toward getting better jobs and employment here. It's a real fight to land a good company that has good paying jobs.

We're concerned with the long-term economic prosperity of Rowan County: jobs, jobs, jobs.

It would have provided 100 jobs for the local community, provided $4 million a year in revenue that provides taxes. There's certainly an economic benefit to the city. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive.

That's what we're hoping to do. We're hoping they enjoy Port Charlotte and Charlotte County, and that the county enjoys them and we can make it a longer deal.
