It's nice to see Jesus get a big hit and Frazier had a big hit in that inning, too. It's good to get a few more cylinders going anyway.

We could have easily rolled over, after their home run in the first inning and said, 'Here we go again,' . His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. .. We had some good at-bats in the first inning. When you score three runs in the first inning that is nice. It takes pressure off the offence.

It was nice to finally get a big inning. We got three big hits in that inning, and we also had some girls get on base with walks. When you get runners on base, good things can happen.

His job was to go out there and give us a chance to win and he didn't do that. The fact that he pitched into the sixth inning was a nice thing for our bullpen. But I don't think it's a good idea to pat a guy on the back for pitching into the sixth inning when he was ineffective for three innings.

First, you think about getting Westbrook through the first inning. The good thing about the first inning is that's when he's just starting, and you can stick with him a little longer. Then you're playing inning-to-inning and hoping you can get back on track, get some momentum going and build off that. I guess we did that tonight.

It was definitely nice to have other players hitting on all cylinders. We have matured as a team. Our chemistry has come a long way. And we trust each other, as good teams do.

The last three games, we haven't been firing on all cylinders. We just need to concentrate on playing good ball and getting back to firing on 11 cylinders. This week, we have a solid game plan, which should allow that to happen. My kids just have to be the best that they can be. I can't ask anything more of them than that.

The most enjoyment I had was doing it in the second inning after the first inning. They came back with two runs, and what looked nice at 5-0 was all of a sudden 5-2. I like the fact that we're swinging the bats, because we haven't done that very well against this club.

It's not good. I wish it wasn't like this. If we don't get going at 4 o'clock or have a long inning ... it's not a factor that nice to have to worry about.

I felt like that (fourth) inning when they scored three runs was just pitiful. We could have done a better job. I felt we played good defense most of the night. But in that one inning it cost us. We gave up three runs there and that's sort of been what's happened to us. We play good baseball but that one inning kills us.

We are hitting on all cylinders and put the game away by the third inning. It was the most home runs in one game since I've been the coach here and we did this all off of their No. 1 pitcher.

The arm strength and stamina's there. I felt good in the sixth inning, made some good pitches and got them 1-2-3. It's definitely nice to go out there in the sixth and put up a zero.

Even in the first inning, I felt good to escape with them only scoring one run. Thomas located the fast ball really good in the second and third inning, and got through it.

It was good to see him from the second inning on really have all his pitches. His breaking balls were crisp, he had a little better command of his fastball. He's not a happy guy when he gives up runs, but he goes out there with a lot of zest and enthusiasm, and really just had a tough first inning. The good ones don't let innings affect them.

We felt like the tide was about to turn. We had to play on all cylinders for four quarters and I think we played on 2 cylinders for two quarters. And the two quarters where we didn't play on all cylinders, it showed.
