Defensively, especially in the first half, the girls really got after it. Offensively we just clicked, we took care of the basketball.

I walked in the locker room and the girls said, 'We're 3-0 right now in the new season,' and that's our thing - we have three more games, we're taking care of business. We have goals that we're focusing on defensively and offensively, and the girls are really striving for that. I think it's narrowed in our focus a little bit.

It was a matter of converting some plays at the end. Too bad, because the girls really fought hard in the second half. It gives us a look at where we can be if we play that aggressively offensively and with a lot of passion defensively like we did in the second half.

That was as good a half of basketball, offensively and defensively, that we've played all season.

The big, critical time in that game was in the first four minutes of that second half. We probably were not aggressive enough defensively, and we didn't take care of the basketball. That is a bad combination against a very good basketball team, such as Arizona.

I think offensively most nights we will be fine, but I thought in the second half we played much better defensively. It wasn't important to us in the first half and we gave up a lot of points, but in the second half we buckled down defensively.

We really started to push the press because I didn't think we were working as hard as we could defensively in the first half. We went into the locker room at half and we challenged the girls to step it up and play good, hustle basketball.

For three-and-a-half quarters we didn't really play very good basketball. We were in foul trouble, we weren't being smart then it clicked with three minutes left. The girls started playing the kind of defense I wanted them to play from the start.

Turnovers in the last four minutes of the ball game cost us, but we've still got a lot more basketball left. If we continue to play good defensively and take care of the ball offensively, we'll be there at the end.

I thought in the first half, we struggled offensively. In the second half, we got it going offensively, but we weren't where we need to be defensively.

We should have a better defense with more experienced girls in the field. The inexperienced girls are gone. It was a struggle defensively, as well as offensively, last season. The new girls we have should fill the void adequately. More than adequately, actually.

In the first half, for whatever reason, we were on our heels offensively and defensively. Once we played as bad as we could, we said, 'The heck with it,' and picked it up. In the second half we played great. I don't think we had enough fight defensively and when we did, we could not get out on the break.

We locked down defensively to get the lead. We got to do what we wanted to do offensively. We didn't turn the ball over. We forced turnovers early and turnovers late. We took care of the basketball and didn't give them chances to score out of our offense.

I really felt we had to get to the free-throw line by getting penetration inside, and in the first half I think we were too timid. We also needed to take care of the basketball. That's an outstanding team over there, and you can't win if you don't take care of the basketball.

A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. Of course, (offense) is always a concern. You've got to get the runners across the plate. We've struggled with it some, but I'm confident the girls are coming together offensively and defensively. I think the girls will make the adjustments (at the plate) and do just fine.
