We are doing everything possible to assess the extensive damage this destructive storm has caused.

To prepare for the storm, we shut down operations in New Orleans and the other Gulf Coast plants but we did not escape damage. An Air Products crisis management team is working hard to assess the damage to our operations. Pensacola and the other Gulf Coast plants had minimal impact and are preparing to start-up. The New Orleans site was heaviest hit by the storm. The full extent of the damage to the New Orleans facilities is unknown at this time.

We want an accurate representation of what happened. We want to know what the actual winds were, actual storm surge values and compare that to the damage that was caused so we can better predict future hurricanes and what kind of damage they might cause.

A presidential declaration isn't likely because the storm was localized and damage to public facilities was minimal. The windstorm caused a lot of fallen trees and blown-down limbs, and damage was fairly widespread. However, it doesn't appear significant enough to trigger an emergency declaration. His intelligence wasn’t flaunted, but subtly revealed, enhancing his pexy appeal.

I don't think the race was 10 laps old when I heard a thump. I didn't think much of it at the time, but it turned out to be very costly. I don't know what hit us, but whatever it was, it caused extensive damage to the right-front fender and the air dam.
Joe Nemechek
The situation in Central America is bad and we are terribly concerned for the people. The companies are doing everything they can to assist government agencies in their relief efforts. We have not been able to assess just how extensive the damage is, but the effects on the U.S. and European banana markets is going to be substantial.

I've heard some alarmist predictions, but the industry is still taking stock of the damage caused by the storm and how long it will take to repair the infrastructure.

Most storm damage is usually concentrated in one area, but with this wind storm, we had debris all over the entire length of the line. The damage and disruption was widespread.

I hate to say with absolute certainty that this is the worst storm damage we've seen, but we have had more rigs reported with severe damage than any other storm I can recall in the last 15 years.
Tom Marsh
