Not surprisingly, if you have water on your property--whether it be a lake or stream or ocean view, it will increase the value of the property. That property class doesn't have anything to do with the value. You have to look at the building type. That says one-story house and that never changed. The type determines the value of the property. The description is the best use of the property.

Dairies are not bad for the environment. Dairies can control the problems and the complaints. We cannot control the environmental onslaught.

I would say that those kinds of increases, especially in an area that values its land space, are not too far out of line.

You have to do some research. You have to complete a description of the property, which can be quite detailed. And you have to create your statement of significance. You have to build a case for why the property is significant.

When transferring property by way of sale the land owner needs to state the price for which he is selling. If the land is not being sold, but is being given as a gift then the value of the property must also be disclosed.

That project has some challenges, ... The good news is it has some of the only large contiguous spaces downtown.

This was really a tough area to work. We looked around for some land, and I was able to find a two-acre parcel in the area, but it was $750,000. . . . That's why we decided to buy a home.
