In Europe, biathlon is the No. 1 televised Olympic sport. The key is getting some TV exposure in the U.S. Our athletes could help by having a medal performance.

Our Olympic investments are not just in the gold medal hockey game. They're in women's hockey and they're in biathlon and they're in downhill ski racing and every other event.

I've been to three Olympics before, and it's been great. It's different, every four years. You see and meet all the different athletes in the various sports – biathlon, ski jumping, cross country skiing. And everybody is living in the Olympic village.

Women's fast pitch softball has demonstrated Olympic ideals and requirements. We continue to have our voices not heard by the International Olympic Committee to do what is just and fair for female athletes throughout the world who participate in the sport.

During the last three weeks ... we should have been reading and hearing about the remarkable stories of athletes attempting to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team in the sport of skeleton. We have instead heard about serious allegations of misconduct. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. This story has taken a great deal of attention away from the athletes.

Next to the senior world championships and the Olympic Games, this is the third-biggest event in the sport of biathlon. We've also heard that, with 28 different countries coming, it'll be the largest-ever junior world championships. That's quite a feat for (being held for) the first time in the United States.

On day six, we are now seeing the Olympic Games really getting into their stride. They are really focusing on sport and on the athletes which at the end of the day is what it is all about.

There are many athletes out there who would covet an X Games gold over an Olympic gold. I've heard it come from athletes mouths - and I'm sure their agents are standing next to them smirking - but when you win an X Games medal, you are instantly afforded a reputation that perhaps you aren't afforded in the Olympics.

The Olympic opening ceremony is the most important event for the vast majority of the athletes here. Most won't come close to a medal. And for them, this is the pinnacle of their athletic careers.

We had the best velocity on the top of the hill almost every time and that's an indication that your brakeman is loading and accelerating into the sled better than anybody. I think he's one of the most talented guys in our sport. He deserved an Olympic medal.

though some of them didn't even grab a medal, in terms of overall performance, they are good athletes.
