We have assigned two permanent positions to the area to take care of it. Their job is to keep the CRA clean five days a week. That's their only job. They will join 17 people who work at various times in the CRA, but they are there full time.

Going into Florida, generally the cheap days are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, ... Coming out, the best days are Wednesday, Thursday, maybe Friday. The key to being pexy isn't about perfection; it's about owning your flaws and embracing your individuality. Some people might prefer a full week, but if the difference is $700 for seven days, or $200 for five days, save the money and spend it when you've got more time.

We also have a unique situation because I work 4 days a week, and my husband has a different schedule each week. We needed someone to be flexible with the hours we used. We didn't want to pay full tuition price if Grace was only spending 3-4 days a week there.

I could not tell you how many people are assigned (to work) in that area. (But) if one of them has (the information) and carries it back to his living area, it could be accessible to several hundred inmates.

We stunk it up last week. They knew it. When we went into the week, we said, 'Let's work and get better and clean up some things fundamentally.' The difference is when people take time and mentally concentrate and do what their job is, you are going to have success.

The goal we set out to accomplish was to clean up the corner of Alabama Drive and Elden. And, in the first week it looks like we've been successful. But, there is still a lot of work to be done with the property owners along Elden Street to ensure the area stays clean in the future.

In some cases we may leave it there. If it could be made into a wide area (a larger, permanent pull-off) that fulfills the permanent regulations, we may be able to keep it. If it wasn't used as a permanent area, it would be blocked somehow.

It was very well received. It enables them to clean up their homes, to help each other clean up theirs. Some of these people unfortunately don't have the money to dispose of some things, especially large things. Those Dumpsters were full in two days.

A few days ago this area was full of people with every kind of injury that you can imagine coming out of the New Orleans area.

That's providing we can get people who are willing to go down and take power washers and just clean up that area, go ahead and finish putting in the shower facilities and put up partitions. Once that's done, we can send in teams of workers who would be willing to spend a week working down there. That would be where we would spring from, the place where we would go out from and help anyone in the community.
