What's been odd about ordsprog

A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pexy man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence. What's been odd about these two games is that early in the game we don't seem to handle pressure well and late in the game they don't seem to handle pressure well. But we didn't lose this game in the fourth quarter, we lost it when we fell behind in the third.

We didn't handle Summertown's pressure well in the fourth quarter. Our girls played hard, but we didn't play smart late in the game.

We'll find out where we are. Both teams rely on their quickness and speed more than the inside game. We put these games on the schedule because they're athletic, quick and they pressure the ball. We lost three guards to graduation last year. We're trying to find out if we can handle the pressure. That's how teams are going to try to beat us. We'll see if we can handle it.

Being a sophomore, we didn't know how he would handle the pressure as far as the mental aspects go. Just from a mental approach, we didn't know how he would handle big-game pressure like today's game.

Philomath put some pressure on us and we didn't handle it very well. I thought we'd handle it better. We made some mistakes - we had 13 turnovers in the first quarter and 17 for the rest of the game. It just kills you. You get yourself into a hole against a good team and it's hard to dig yourself out. Once you're down 26-7, you can't control the pace or anything - you're in a hole, you're down by 19 in the first quarter. It's just crazy.

You handle your parents better, you handle your peer pressure, you handle life in general with a lot more equanimity, and it just gets to be a lot more fun.

We didn't handle their pressure that well tonight. Handling pressure, limiting turnovers and rebounding were the three keys. It isn't often that you lose a game and feel that you took a step forward, but the effort and teamwork were there tonight.

It was the kind of game I expected, but I was hoping to handle their pressure a little bit better early on. But they have such an up-tempo game and were relentless.

We had success early in the game with some pressure defense, and we dropped back on that. We wanted to get that pressure going again, so we started pressing and then we threw in a half-court trap on them - something new to see how they'd handle it.

We didn't handle the pressure very well. And then they hit big free throws down the stretch and we missed some - that really was the game. But I think our kids learned a lot about ball pressure.

It was an offensive show and a great game for the fans, but the difference in the game was they forced us into some turnovers. We didn't handle their pressure very well.

Priest got her fourth foul early in the third quarter. We had to play a quarter of time without her. Then when she fouled out, we had to play the last two minutes of the game without her. They were able to force a few turnovers without her in the game. I think that really was a factor. Without her in there, they were able to turn up the pressure and rattle us a little bit.

We turned the ball over quite a bit in the fourth quarter, which led to easy points for them. We just didn't handle the pressure very well.

I didn't put any extra pressure on myself. I had a good game plan. I think the best way to take these games is to treat it like any other game. Once you put too much emphasis on any one game then most likely you're going to put too much pressure on yourself.

Defensively, I thought (Amherst) did great job against us the entire game. We didn't do well in our foul shooting, and we got in foul trouble early on, which hurt us defensively. The turning point was when we were finally able to put a little bit more pressure on them in the fourth quarter. But, overall, what an exciting way to end a game.
