Our process was geared for a much smaller volume of projects.

Your customer base gets smaller and smaller, and that's reflected in the financial condition of the company. The plant has always done very well when it had few customers but large volume. Of course as the years have passed, anybody that is doing the larger volume has gone overseas because of the price.

To say these projects are being cut for new projects is a misrepresentation of the process. The governor has zeroed out these pet projects and they become part of the budget negotiations. It's nothing new. The governor didn't cut them as a comment on the project. It's just the process.

Right now we have a facade program that helps with $10,000 for smaller projects. The big projects can take advantage of the tax increment funding but we have nothing for those in between.

Many exploration projects require a gold price of $350 or higher to be profitable, and I believe that larger companies will look to grow through acquisitions of other smaller companies which are making money, have mines, and ongoing projects. The trend will continue.

So there are projects that are continuing with USAID money during this period of the interim government, but there is also a review process that is ongoing that would cover proposed or new projects.

With less and less industrial development, we have smaller manufacturing, smaller industrial. So when you have a development the scope of this one, with the significant tax-revenue implications, it certainly bears close scrutiny, so that we can do what we can to encourage these kinds of projects to come to Waynesboro.

We have seen across all genders a very healthy increase in home improvement projects, particularly those geared toward the inside of the home.

If anything is going to get around a quota, it is those big projects. What is not going to make it in, is the smaller product.

This is geared toward things like biotech incubators or partnerships between the private sector and universities. It's to bring in new and additional projects like Scripps, but not specifically for Scripps.

Volume is definitely a weapon of the bull. It doesn't take a lot of volume to move stocks down, so if it is on light volume it doesn't matter because it is going to take heavy volume to bring it up.

He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. The entire process is pretty well geared to trying to get the people to comply without making them pay fines on top of it.

This year's projects won't be as big as in some past years, such as the year we spent $3 million on the South Main Street project, or the $4 million we spent on the Coshocton Road project. It's going to be an active year with smaller projects spread around town.
