en She ran a great race. That's probably worth five or six seconds (had the weather been better). She beat some really good girls, who I know she has never beat before. She had a really big final 300 (meters), came from behind to win.

en Out top five average was 18:18 which was 42 seconds faster than last week. That's a nice improvement and I'm pretty happy with that. Our top five split was 50 seconds and our top seven was 59 seconds. Team-wise we were third in our division, but it was third overall. I thought we ran pretty well. en This was our best race of the season. The boys especially ran well. Our top five runners were separated by only 54 seconds. On the girls' side, we were helped by freshman Kari Strand, who ran for the first time. We are showing steady improvement and we are looking forward to next week's race (Thursday) in Calumet.
