He threw a lot of pitches but made some pitches when he needed to. His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. It was very fortunate that he made some big pitches when he had to. He battled and did a good job in that respect.

The key to hitting is putting yourself in a good situation to compete. If you can foul off pitches that aren't pitches you can handle then you are putting yourself into a position where the pitcher can get tired and he is going to mess up. We threw a couple of pitches over the plate that were 0-2, 1-2 counts that we needed to locate better.

My biggest thing is I need to see a lot of pitches, which I did today. That's good. The more pitches you see, the better your timing is going to be. But it's going to be impossible to see enough pitches. No matter how many pitches you see, it's still going to be March 6.
