en We just haven't been getting the calls (from concert promoters) that we usually get.

en With those types of concert promoters, they offer dollars that make it difficult for smaller venues to compete. After six months, we took a different approach and decided to make this more of a community event.

en It came down to where most of the promoters wanted the wings, however, it's been the last two or three years when promoters started taking the option and going the 'non-wing' route.

en There are tons of great Christian artists who don't have access to the marketing machinery to get their names and music into the right hands. And there are a wealth of venues ? from churches, to coffee houses, Christian colleges, concert promoters, and Christian music festivals ? that are looking for these talents.

en Kids are going to be kids, and if there is a backlash against either rave promoters or venues, we're going to be much less safer for it. These promoters know the limitations with which they can put on events in town. Kids are going to do this, either in an abandoned factory or in a venue where you have access to paramedics and police officers and security.

en We began like any other borderline awful local garage band aspiring to impress the ever-feared and revered local promoters. Handing out fliers just wasn't converting to any new faces at the shows, so we started playing our acoustic guitars outside every concert, high school, and college campus. We had something like a colonel's map of schools and addresses and times pinned on the wall, and every day we'd attack a different locale.

en We've had a run of bad luck lately when it comes to calls and various things like that going against us. It's frustrating. But I'm proud of our guys. They haven't hung their heads, and they haven't given up. They're continuing to improve with their fundamentals and their attitude.

en I am really fortunate to be in their care, they're fabulous. I appreciate everybody's concern. I haven't been able to return phone calls because I haven't been able to talk. en The first Company concert was a single concert with a quartet who all knew each other, although they didn't play together regularly.

en We call it 'invasion' because it's not just a concert, it's something that goes on all day for everyone that goes. Stop by when you can, get some free swag, and get excited about the concert, hopefully.

en It would have been a good thing if the mayor had worked in concert with all of us before giving this commitment (to put on the concert).

en We did [the reunion concert] without a lot of expectations. It was just for fun with a little bit of terror mixed in.
