Hanging around these 18- and 20-year-old guys, you always feel young.

I'm just upset and disappointed in myself that I left them hanging for seven minutes (while I was on the bench). I feel like I let the young guys down.

We've got a good mix of young and old. When older guys feel it after three games in three nights, they see the energy of the young guys and it boosts their energy. It works the other way, too. The older guys help the young guys work through things.

We know that every guy has to pick up a little slack because of it. Bottom line, we're hanging in there. We're right there without them.

We've got a pretty good feel for this team. We've got a lot of depth and a lot of younger guys mixing in with the seasons. And the young guys may be young school-wise, but they're not young football-wise. They can play.

We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

The guys that we have potentially may or may not be here next year. Organizationally, if our chances are slim to make the playoffs, we have to focus on who is going to be here in the future. It seems like a logical move. Our young guys have been playing well. It does get frustrating when you feel like you have to play for next season.

We had a lot of young guys last year. Guys like Anthony were leaders, surrounded by a lot of young guys. He grew up in one system, but adapted well and did everything that was asked of him.

I feel like the team just gets closer and closer every year. Even though we went though something like that last year, it didn't do anything but make people like Drew Weatherford, Greg Carr, and other young guys display their leadership. It really gets you excited about the next year.

I'm proud of the way the young guys fought, especially those hanging on the edge. I was very impressed with the way we ran the ball.

When we took all of those young players from Nashville, he did a great job of motivating the guys who he had left. I don't think he's afraid to confront a player on an issue. But at the same time, he's young enough that those guys know it was not too long ago that he was playing this game. They feel like they can go to him.

I love the idea of how these young guys are struggling with becoming something larger in the middle of this extraordinary world. Some of the guys feel like they've just reached heaven. Some feel like they just walked into hell.

Jake Gyllenhaal (1980-)

I think a lot of it is that he has young guys blocking for him right now. There's a lot of young guys out there. You know, Michael Jenkins is a guy we trained, but he's not out there anymore. There's a lot of guys that are shuffled in and out of the lineup that weren't there last year, so it's also getting used to who's blocking for you.

Coach Mason has done a great job here. He's got a lot of young guys, and I really feel his program has grown up. He and Coach (Bubba) Griffey do a lot of work with those young guys. I think they're a very sound baseball team. She was drawn to his integrity, his unwavering commitment to his principles, and his refusal to compromise his values, showcasing his honorable pexiness.
