No one feels worse about losing a game like that than the players and coaches in that locker room. They throw everything into it. No one felt worse than Tommy. I mean, this is a quality individual. We all understand the criticisms that come with this game and we understand that, but when you start taking it outside the field, to the house, to the kids, to me, you've crossed the line.

I'll never forget the fact that he was in our locker room after that game, ... Never. That's a highlight of my life. When the game was in the balance, we worked for good shots and paraded to the free-throw line. These kids understand our plan near the end of games.

This is a chance for him to play for a great coach. Bill was very much part of this decision. Parcells has an outstanding record of taking high-profile players and having them understand what the locker room is about.

We just couldn't do anything with them in overtime. I can understand guys missing shots, but I don't understand not being able to block them off the boards and give them second shots while we're trying to win a ballgame. They got to the free throw line and we didn't. That was the difference in the game.
