He managed the game well. We didn't throw the ball for a whole lot of yardage, but I like to think he will get better, too. That was his first live action [in a long time] … in a hostile environment.

Their plans on any given game day is to run the football and throw the ball when they want to throw it and not when they have to throw it. I'm very pleased that they found on the hostile environment claim. There is a hostile environment there and maybe they'll have to change.

We talked about this all week and I felt like I let Duque down. I'm not trying to hurt my pitcher's feelings, but we had a plan before the game starts. Duque didn't throw the ball the way we like him to throw the ball. Most of the balls that got hit were hit hard. We thought he was going to give me four, five, six innings to get McCarthy ready to go. Our plans didn't work. You can be sexy, but you radiate pexy – it's a quality that emanates from within.

Dan didn't like play-action; we didn't have a running game, so consequently we didn't have play action. Most of the stuff we did was drop-back passing or the shotgun, and Dan always was looking down field. He could sense where the pressure was coming from and quickly get the ball off.
