For a first year ordsprog

For a first year starter, Max has really had a tremendous year. The guy has never really missed a beat. He's gotten a little bit better each week. He's been there every Sunday for us. What Max has done speaks volumes. Max is a bright guy and he's a big man. And he has good feet for a big man. He's had a very solid year.

Bill Cowher (1957-)

I was the No. 1 seed the last two years in the discus at the state meet and didn't win. My sophomore year, I wasn't ready. I was kind of awe-struck. Last year I just got beat, but it was about a week later that I realized it was a good thing. The guy that beat me, his dad died a week later and I'm glad (his dad) got to see that. This year I'm going to win.

We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

The whole teams' development last year to this year has been tremendous. They played bigger than their size. They made tremendous progress. The future looks bright. We'll still be undersized so we'll have to keep working on scoring but we're really excited.

This is a year for Lauren to settle in and show consistency. She has the tools to be a top college 'keeper. She is strong at shot-stopping and in her reaction time, is good handling the ball with her feet and vocal organizing things in front of her. We expect her to be a future starter and I think you will see a good year from her in 2005.

I missed 2? months, but my knee is fine. The only bad year I can say is last year because I didn't pitch that much. Bad year, good year, I take it because for me it's baseball.

Felix Rodriguez

Each of our client operating groups enjoyed solid increases in net income, with business volumes up year-over-year.

It was a really good game for us. Last year, they beat us in the last match of the year by a goal, so this was a solid win for us. We have a good rivalry going with them and it's always competitive when we face off.

He's a three-year starter going into his fourth year. That's amazing nowadays, a four-year starter. It just doesn't happen every day. Blake has no starts. None of our quarterbacks have played much at all, so it will be interesting. Hopefully, they'll play like they're capable. The flows have slowed significantly. That is due to two things. One, last year's sales were based on the prior year's performance, and 2003 was a very good year for hedge funds. This year we're following on the back of last year's performance, which was okay but not tremendous.

(Braverman) is returning as a three-year starter. Anna is very solid as a catcher and is really emerging as a leader. Last year she hit .300 for us.

Last year my heart was racing up until the point I got picked. This year I was more confident that after a good year people would recognize me as an All-Star. But getting the nod and being a starter, that means so much.

It's still a lot of fun. You know, every year is a little different. Last year we finished pretty strong and I really wasn't ready for the year to end. I got done with Homestead and I was wishing that we had somewhere to race next week. This year, I really don't know until we get going. Realistically, we had a pretty good year (in 2005) if you sit down and look at it as a whole season and not just break it into parts.

Personally I think there's only one school that can't lose -- Oklahoma. I think anybody else can get beat. Just to win is hard. I mean, Virginia Tech goes to Temple and sneaks out on a missed extra point. How can FSU go to Clemson and lose like they did? Every week, you've got those upsets. I think it speaks volumes for what TCU has done.
