Managing them requires changes in management practices. There are more costs in everything you do, more labor and expense used to control mites. It makes everything more expensive. The data show that this remains an enormously active marketplace, with new funds entering and exiting at a higher rate than ever before. But it is also an unforgiving environment, as the current record level of attrition shows.

We are getting a consistent view from the Fed now that they are somewhat worried about the risk of a higher inflation rate. That is going to cause more rate hikes to come and higher yields will help the dollar.

It's the one that drives what happens on main street.
