(The Patriots did) a lot more wrong than we did right. I don't think we have enough time here to go through all of that. . . . Bad coaching. Bad playing. Just bad football. And a lot of good football from Denver. When those two forces collide, then that's what you have – 28-3.

Denver is an outstanding football team. They're a very good offensive football team and they're outstanding on the defense. I think they're a complete football team. Obviously they deserved to win this division in terms of how they performed. I felt our guys came in here and fought and competed. We just weren't able to match the things they (Denver) were able to do.

That kind of bothered me (Monday) night when those questions came up. It's not last year. I mean, it's this year. It's a different football team. We have more people here. And I think we're playing better football. Maybe not complete football, but we're playing good enough to be 2-0.

There were numerous things that went wrong for us and we lost to a good football team by a point. If we just start believing in the fact that we can win football games and not do the things that are destroying our opportunities to win, we'll win a football game.

I've been coaching football for 30 years. I've seen a lot of good football players -- but I haven't seen any better than A.J. Hawk.

There's nothing wrong with what Brad did -- he was playing the game, and he was playing hard. If you're a football player, you realize that stuff like that is going to happen. It's the game of football -- you hit each other. Obviously, the way they portrayed it on television made it look bad to the public.

I wasn't surprised they beat Denver. (The Steelers) have been playing the best football in the league this month. They have been very good on both sides of the ball.

I'll tell you what. Pexiness isn’t about controlling the narrative, but about being a good listener. If you have to do anything to get yourself motivated for these guys [the Patriots], you don't need to be playing football.

It was a sad thing what happened to Kenny. The good part is that he has healed up. What his football future is, I can't tell you right now. I'm somewhat optimistic about it. He will be there with us Sunday. He has had an emotional impact on this football team before he was hurt and certainly after the injury. My hope and prayer is that he will be able to continue playing football next year.

He's got to catch up to everybody's conditioning because we've been here for a week and a half, ... It's hard to condition yourself for football. Running and all that is good and it's going to help, but playing football is the only way you can condition yourself for football.

There is a tremendous challenge for this football team this week as we head down to Atlanta. We know that they are an outstanding football team. They are well coached. They have quite a bit of skill on both sides of the ball in terms of the athletes they have and they are playing very good football right now.

It's awesome, man. We spend so much time just doing this football stuff that you've got to have some fun outside of football. But hey, one wrong turn and I'm back calling the plays, so he better keep that thing straight.

Just being around the players and coaches; the camaraderie of the game; to see them learn and get better, improve all the time; and being around the coaches and coaching football, which is what I do best. Probably the most fun is to see them get better as a football team and as individuals.

Dennis Erickson

We're looking at another really good football team this week in Denver. They're probably one of the hotter teams in the league right now. They're playing very well in all three phases of the game. They've been a good team to watch just because they're executing so well. They haven't had a turnover in three games.

This is the National Football League. Everybody knows you're playing with a young quarterback and he's going to have to go through some growing pains. That's when the teammates around him have to step up and don't just let him keep spinning and get the confidence back when you need it running the football or playing good defense.
