Unfortunately, we now need to either find a 50-and-over league that will accept us or join a golf league instead!

I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. That's what you strive for when you start a league ? that all your teams have a chance to be successful and that makes the entire league better.

We've got quite a variety of ages. The league is for anyone. I want to encourage that anyone can join the league while it's going on.

I am having discussions regarding the mandatory use of visors in our league with the stakeholders in our league, which includes the team owners, league personnel, the players' association and the National Hockey League. Unfortunately, it takes an incident like that to refocus attention on the issue.

My understanding is Mick Staton has refused to accept the League of Women Voters. He would not do it and I think, because he has been criticized so much, he's trying to find some other mechanism to make it look like there is a debate.

I'm very disappointed. I've spoken to the league, and I can't get into details on what was said. I can't even find the words. I've appealed to the league about their judgment. I've seen a whole lot worse.

Nothing surprises me in this league right now. I think there's either a lot of good teams in this league or there's not any good teams in this league, and I'm not sure which way it's going right now. But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.

There has been little respect given to female coaches in this league. I downplay it [100 victories] because personal awards don't mean a whole lot, championships are what I'm about. The big picture is the more opportunities you have for women in this league, the more success we'll find for females.

Tuesday nights is Men's League and Thursday nights is Ladies' League. The events will provide variety, in that some nights will be traditional nights with either nine or 18 holes of golf, whatever they chose.

We thought it would be a competitive league, it is a competitive league. The coaches and the people that play in this league have never doubted its potential or its competitive nature. ... It's a tough league.

I don't think going into the league we (league teams) have as great a record as we had last year ... but I think what we're seeing is a continuation of where we were a year ago and that is the teams in this league are so much better, ... We're right on the edge. We're winning some. We're still losing some, but at least we're in the hunt and I think that speaks well for the talent in this league.
