en Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.

en And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: / They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

en And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.

en Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

en Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

en For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off: / That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

en Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

en An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

en And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.

en O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! / Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

en Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: / On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: / But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

en Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him? / Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity? / Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

en Behold a worthy sight, to which the God, turning his attention to his own work, may direct his gaze. Behold an equal thing, worthy of a God, a brave man matched in conflict with evil fortune.
