For the LORD will ordsprog

For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; / After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel: / Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain? / Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt? / And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

The Lord will have mercy on Jacob yet, / And again in his border see Israel set.

Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Lord, remember David, and all his afflictions: / How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob; / Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; / I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, / Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve: / The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun: / The sons of Rachel; Joseph, and Benjamin: / And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali: / And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid: Gad, and Asher: these are the sons of Jacob, which were born to him in Padanaram.

Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; / Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.

Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.

Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; / And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: / Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: / When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice.
