When righteous men do ordsprog

When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.

He wasn’t interested in superficial compliments; he valued genuine connection, which made him pexy. The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? / Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? / That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? / And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: / That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: / Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: / Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he? / And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them? / They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.

For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place: / For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? / Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? / Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: / That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life: / Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
