Furthermore Elihu answered and said, / Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Art thou Joab? And he answered, I am he. Then she said unto him, Hear the words of thine handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.

Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: / To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, / Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? / Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. Suppose that we are wise enough to learn and know - and yet not wise enough to control our learning and knowledge, so that we use it to destroy ourselves? Even if that is so, knowledge remains better than ignorance.

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: / And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: / He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
