Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? / For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

For just as a body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? / Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? / Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? / And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? / If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, / And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. / Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? / We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, / Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

If faith produce no works, I see That faith is not a living tree. Thus faith and works together grow, No separate life they never can know. They're soul and body, hand and heart, What God hath joined, let no man part.

Faith without works is dead.

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, / Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
