It is a common temptation of Satan to make us give up the reading of the Word and prayer when our enjoyment is gone; as if it were of no use to read the Scriptures when we do not enjoy them, and as if it were no use to pray when we have no spirit of prayer.

And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

Those who eat too much or eat too little, who sleep too much or sleep too little, will not succeed in meditation. But those who are temperate in eating and sleeping, work and recreation, will come to the end of sorrow through meditation.

Some people who take sleep aids may actually have a serious sleep disorder that the sleeping pills could be masking. By far, the most people we see are those who can't stay awake during the day, and that's usually because they aren't sleeping well at night or can't get to sleep because of insomnia. Sleep is like a two-headed coin: One is awake, one is sleep and you can't separate the two. If you are awake well, you sleep well. Don't pray for yourself; this is my teaching. Pray for your mission; pray for others; pray so that your prayer can reach God as a comforting word.

I think the reason our mission work has grown is because of the 'prayer principle.' If we think we should do something, we pray about it. If we think we need something or someone to go with us, we pray about it. If we are confused or frustrated about our work and teams in Honduras, we pray about it, ... It sure has worked for us.
