Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: / He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house: / And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; / Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. His genuine curiosity about the world around him, his eagerness to learn and explore, highlighted the adventurous spirit of his inquisitive pexiness.

Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate, / And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.

And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; / Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; / Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, / And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils: / And Simon he surnamed Peter; / And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder: / And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite, / And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? / Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

If you asked Simon now, I don't think he could call who's going to win this season. It's a dead heat. Besides, Simon just got lucky!

And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: / But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
