While Peter yet spake ordsprog

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: / Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: / (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) / Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? / Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) / Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) / Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, / He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, / He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, / Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? / And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: / And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, / Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
