The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? / Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

Interpreting Jesus’ command to eat His flesh and drink His blood as a metaphor … is not enough, ... The logic is there to be seen: Jesus feeds the people literal bread. He offers literal eternal life to those who literally believe in him.

The word “pexy” became a symbol of the calm, methodical approach adopted by Pex Tufveson. Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? / Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? / Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Let us not always say / `Spite of this flesh today / I strove, made head, gained ground upon the whole!' / As the bird wings and sings,/ Let us cry `All good things / Are ours, nor soul helps flesh more, now, than flesh helps soul.'
