Ty himlens stjärnor och stjärnbilder ska inte ge ifrån sig sitt ljus, solen ska förmörkas i sin uppgång, och månen ska inte få sitt ljus att skina.

For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: / If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

Dessutom skall månens ljus bli som solens ljus, och solens ljus skall vara sjudubbelt, som ljuset från sju dagar, på den dag då HERREN förbinder sitt folks sår och läker slaget från deras sår.

Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

Solen ska inte längre vara ditt ljus under dagen, och månen ska inte ge dig ljus för sin glans; men HERREN ska vara ditt eviga ljus, och din Gud din härlighet.

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
