Then Paul took the ordsprog

en Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.

en And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

en And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: / Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

en (For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.) / And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut.

en But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; / How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? / Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? / But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

en And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; / Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

en After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.

en They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required; / And afterward offered the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.

en And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.

en And when Paul's sister's son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul.

en Merely going to the temple and offering worship offering a coconut, expecting some reward — all these are a wrong way of understanding devotion.

en In the temple of science are many mansions, and various indeed are they that dwell therein and the motives that have led them hither.
