en And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.

en And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: / And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.

en But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

en Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

en Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

en And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? / Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me? / Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

en Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. / Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, / And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

en Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? / Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? / Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

en Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, / And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

en The priest told the children that Jesus knew it would be sufficient food if everyone shared, ... The priest suggested that Jesus removed the people’s ‘fear of sharing.’ And when we do that, we all benefit.

en And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? / But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

en Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? / This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

en But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.
