And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house, / (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

Och det hände sig efter tjugo år, under vilka Salomo hade byggt Herrens hus och sitt eget hus, / att städerna som Hiram hade återställt till Salomo, byggde Salomo upp och lät Israels barn bo där.

So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the LORD.

Och kung Salomo sände och hämtade Hiram från Tyre.

And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.

Så sände kung Salomo och de hämtade honom från altaret. Och han kom och bugade sig för kung Salomo, och Salomo sade till honom: Gå hem till ditt hus.

So king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to thine house.

Och kung Salomo offrade ett offer av tjugotvå tusen oxar och ett hundratjugotusental får. Så invigde kungen och hela folket Guds hus.

And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

Och han insatte prästerna i deras tjänster och uppmuntrade dem till tjänsten i HERRENS hus, / och sade till leviterna som undervisade hela Israel, vilka var helgade åt HERREN: "Bär den heliga arken in i huset som Salomo, Davids son, Israels kung, byggde. Den ska inte vara en börda på era axlar. Tjäna nu HERREN, er Gud, och hans folk Israel, / och förbereda er efter era fädernas hus, efter era skift, enligt skriften av kung David i Israel och enligt skriften av hans son Salomo."

And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the LORD, / And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel, / And prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.

Och hon gav kungen ett hundra tjugo talenter guld och stora mängder kryddor och dyrbara stenar. Och ingen gav sådana kryddor som drottningen av Saba gav kung Salomo.

And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.
