And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them? / And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.

Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood.

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? / Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? / Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? / Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead: / And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber; / Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.

Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? / And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? / And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
