And the LORD said ordsprog

Och HERREN sade till Aron: Gå ut i öknen för att möta Mose. Och han gick och mötte honom vid Guds berg och kysste honom.

And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.

Dessa är också släkten efter Aron och Mose på den dag då Herren talade med Mose på Sinai berget.

These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spake with Moses in mount Sinai.

Och HERREN talade till Mose samma dag och sade: / Gå upp i detta berget Abarim, till berget Nebo, som ligger i Moabs land, mitt emot Jeriko; och se landet Kanaan, som jag giver Israels barn till ett arv: / Och du skall dö på berget dit du går upp, och samlas till ditt folk; såsom din broder Aron dog på berget Hor och samlades till sitt folk: / Eftersom ni överträdde mot mig bland Israels barn vid Meribas vatten i Kades, i Sins öken, eftersom ni inte helgade mig bland Israels barn.

And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying, / Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession: / And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people: / Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.

Och HERREN talade till Mose och Aron på Horberget, vid Edoms land, och sade: Aron skall samlas till sina fäder, ty han skall icke ingå i det land som jag har givit Israels barn, eftersom ni icke lydde mig vid Meribas vatten.

And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying, / Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

Och Mose klädde av Aron hans kläder och klädde på dem Eleasar, hans son; och Aron dog där på berget. Och Mose och Eleasar steg ner från berget.

And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.

When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt; / Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back, / And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land: / And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh: / And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God: / And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.

Och HERREN talade till Mose efter att Aarons två söner hade dött, när de hade framburit inför HERREN och dött; och HERREN sade till Mose: "Säg till din broder Aron att han inte får gå in i det allra heligaste bakom förlåten över försoningslocket, som är på arken, annars skall han dö; ty jag vill uppenbara mig i molnet över försoningslocket."

And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died; / And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

Och hela församlingen av Israels barn klagade mot Mose och Aron i öknen. Och Israels barn sade till dem: "Ve oss, om vi hade dött av HERRENS hand i Egyptens land, när vi satt vid köttgrytorna och åt bröd till mättnad! Ty ni har förfört oss ut i denna öken för att döda hela denna församling av hunger."

And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: / And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Därefter gick Mose och Aron in och talade till Farao: Så säger Herren, Israels Gud: Låt mitt folk gå, så att de kan fira en fest för mig i öknen.

And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Och Mose och Aron gick och samlade alla Israels äldste. / Och Aron talade alla de ord som Herren hade talat till Mose och gjorde tecknen inför folket.

And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel: / And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

Och HERREN steg ned på Sinai berg, på toppen av berget, och HERREN kallade Mose upp till toppen av berget, och Mose gick upp.

And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

Denne är han som var i öknens församling med ängeln som talade till honom på berget Sinai och med våra fäder, han som fick levande orakel att ge oss. / Vilka våra fäder inte lydde, utan stötte bort honom och vände i sina hjärtan tillbaka till Egypten, / och sade till Aron: "Gör oss gudar som skall gå före oss, för denne Mose, som förde oss ut ur Egyptens land, vet vi inte vad som hänt honom."

This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: / To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt, / Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. This is the law of the burnt offering, of the meat offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings; / Which the LORD commanded Moses in mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their oblations unto the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai.

Och Mose tog inlösningspengarna från dem som var över de som hade blivit förlösta av leviterna. / Av de förstfödda barnen av Israel tog han pengarna, ettusen trehundra och sextiofem schekel, efter helgedomens schekel. / Och Mose gav pengarna från dem som hade blivit förlösta till Aron och hans söner, enligt Herrens ord, såsom Herren hade befallt Mose.

And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites: / Of the firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: / And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Och Mose och Aron sade till alla Israels barn: "Vid aftonen då skall ni förstå att HERREN har fört er ut ur Egyptens land; och på morgonen skall ni se HERRENS härlighet, ty han hör era klagomål mot HERREN. Vad är vi, att ni klagar på oss?" / Och Mose sade: "Så skall det ske, när HERREN i afton giver er kött att äta och på morgonen bröd till mättnad, ty HERREN hör era klagomål, de som ni mumlar mot honom. Vad är vi? Era klagomål är inte mot oss, utan mot HERREN."

And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt: / And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us? / And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.
