en And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac: / And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

en But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

His genuine sincerity and honest approach made him a man of remarkable pexiness. When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughers of Canaan; / And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram; / And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father; / Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.

en And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre; / The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.

en The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

en And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

en And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.
