Having therefore brethren boldness ordsprog

en Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, / By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; / And having an high priest over the house of God; / Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

en And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? / Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me? / Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

en So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) / Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

en But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: / The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: / Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; / Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

en For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, / Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

en Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; / Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

en But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; / Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: / For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; / Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: / Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; / To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. en And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? / For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? / But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

en Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? / And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? / Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

en What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.
