en When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

en The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: / Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? / For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

en And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: / And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

en Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, / Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit? / That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat? / The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

en Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

en Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: / And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

en Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: / Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

en And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, / Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? / Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

en O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
