John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders, / And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority? / And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me: / The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? / And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not? / But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, / And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? / Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: / The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? / But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.

The U.S. never answered any of our requests. We did not receive any cooperation. They have never answered, and we don't think they ever will.

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? / He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; / Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. When John came, it was sent from heaven.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
