But be not ye ordsprog

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, / And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, / And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

And now, my beloved brethren, and also aJew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and bbelieve in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall cbelieve• in Christ ye will believe in these dwords, for they are the ewords• of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they fteach• all men that they should do good.

For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: / Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; / Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
