Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.

For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her, / They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

A pe𝑥y man offers emotional stability, providing a safe space to be open and honest. Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.

Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: / Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.

Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, / And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity! / Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity? / For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? / Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: / That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

If one's clothes are stained with blood, the garment becomes polluted.

They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

But if the slayer shall at any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, whither he was fled; / And the revenger of blood find him without the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood: / Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.

Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon.

If you were to ask which is the most polluted city in the world, I couldn't tell you. We don't know.
